*American Industrial Art evolved from hardwood patterns handcrafted at the Beloit Ironworks’ papermaking machine complex throughout the mid-19th and 20th centuries. Pushed aside by the techno-laser era, these haunting icons represent an incredible blend of American craftsmanship and historic industrial ingenuity. Come witness this amazing exhibit right here in Beloit!


*What an exciting time to be part of this wonderful organization! The musicians of the Beloit Janesville Symphony are truly artists, reaching into themselves and giving more than any reasonable person can expect. An orchestra you can be proud to call your own.


*The Beloit International Film Festival, or 'BIFF,' is getting ready for its third and grandest season yet. What has been called “the next big thing” and “a must-attend event,” by Moviemaker Magazine certainly lived up to its notices in its second year, setting some exciting standards to exceed in 2008.  Attendance jumped almost 40 percent in the second year and more than 40 filmmakers came from as far away as Seoul and London to participate!

*Our own Minor Leauge baseball team right here in Beloit! With a history that dates back to 1982, bring your baseball mitt, come on down to Pohlman Field, grab a hotdog & an ice-cold Coke and share in this favoured family tradition!


*Located at 604 Pleasent Street in Beloit, this is one of our favorite little coffee houses. Stop in for a Strawberry-Banana smoothie; a mocha latte' or heck, even a cup of black coffee! 


*There will be good rockin’ this summer at Beloit Riverfest. After months of negotiations, Beloit Riverfest Executive Director Rod Beaudoin has announced the main stage lineup for the four day festival in Riverside Park, July 10-13. And if you like rock music, there will be something for every musical taste at Riverfest 2008!


*Farmers Market-Downtown Beloit,8am - 1pm, Every Saturday during the Summer! A great event for the whole family to enjoy! What a selection!
